# Erik Posthuma Source: https://erikposthuma.com Summary HTML: https://erikposthuma.com/summary.html Thinking: https://erikposthuma.com/thinking/ Projects: https://erikposthuma.com/projects/ I am a creative capitalist who believes the most powerful force in the world is the combination of creativity, capital, technology, and community. Over the last two decades, I have helped grow businesses, brands, and ideas across Asia Pacific, working with governments, financial institutions, healthcare groups, and some of the world's largest organizations at the intersection of design, technology, and human behavior. I helped grow Aleph Labs from roughly 40 people into a 400-person regional business spanning strategy, design, engineering, and AI-enabled transformation. Today, I lead Growth across Asia Pacific and Japan at AKQA, working alongside more than 1,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, and makers shaping the future of digital experiences in the region. I was early on Web3 because I believed decentralized systems and blockchain technology would become important tools for protecting human agency, ownership, and freedom in an increasingly machine-driven world. Much of my thinking today sits around AI, intelligent systems, and how technology can expand human creativity, imagination, and connection rather than diminish it. I have been fortunate to live in more than 10 countries across five continents, and those experiences deeply shaped how I see the world: culturally fluid, endlessly curious, and optimistic about what happens when different people, disciplines, and ideas collide. At my core, though, I am drawn to mountains, snow, nature, and movement. The life I care most about is one close to wonder: raising three children with my wife, spending time outdoors, and building companies, systems, and communities that help keep humanity deeply human in the age of machines.
